Fluker's Happy Place

Over the course of 16 years, I find that my happiest place is also the darkest and quietest place. My happy place is my house's deck at night. Saying that me and my stepfather built and stained the deck with our own hands about 3 years ago, I take pride in it.  Due to poor lighting I could sit out there and watch people, walk down the street without them even knowing I'm there. I've overheard countless neighbor arguments or quarrels from that deck. I love the peace of mind that comes with the quiet also, I can sit out there write ,think or even listen to music. Once I sat out there and fell asleep and woke up at 3 am!

About Me

I am McArthur D. Fluker I am originally from Glendale, Wisconsin, but was raised in Mobile, Alabama since the age of four.My favorite color is purple. I am enrolled in Mr. Rease's 11th grade AP english class, where I expect to expand my knowledge of vocabulary and literary devices.I play football for Ben C Rain and I am in my 11th  grade year. I listen to a lot of music, mostly of the rap/hip-hop genre. My favorite musicians include: Austin Post, Keith Cozart, Brandon Dickinson, Derrick Coleman, Nayvadius Demun Wilburn, Jermaine Cole, Keenon Jackson, Kendrick Lamar, Dieuson Octave, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin and more. I enjoy reading poetry around the civil rights movement that capture the mindset and subliminal imagery of our people at that time. I am deeply involved in religion and enjoy going to church to learn more on how to be a better person.
